Glacier Hill Lakes officially opened for business today. They weren't sure if they'd be ready for the holiday after nearly 100 campsites sustained damage from the tornado.

But the outpouring of support from not only people who have campsites there but also from neighbors and organizations, even those from out-of-state, pitched in to get the damage cleaned up. The campers who make Glacier Hills their summer getaway are glad to see their home away from home reopened.

"This place was just devastated. Once people kicked in and got everything rolling, they helped clean up things out here. The campgrounds have done an awesome job picking everything up, getting everything cleaned up, getting everything ready to open up for this year. And we are excited to get everything started. Camping people is just a totally different breed of people. They are all willing to help, lend a hand, and get everything done. It's just totally awesome," says Todd Patterson, who has camped at Glacier Hills for two years.

Management says they are grateful for the volunteers who helped out, and they say there is still work to do. But they are looking forward to having a great summer.
