The heroin epidemic in the state and Lima continues, and one organization is coming together to help the community understand the disease of addiction and to break the stigma.
The Heroin Epidemic Leadership Project is hosting a faith-based opiate forum addressing addiction and needed services from professionals and survivors.
With overdoses skyrocketing congregations and church leadership are invited to learn how they can be a solution to the heroin epidemic.
The day will include discussions of Narcan use, Project Dawn and faith-based detox and rehab facilities. The forum will be held Friday December 9th from 9 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. at Shawnee Alliance Church located at 4455 Shawnee Road in Lima. Admission is free and anyone can attend.
