LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Ohio Democrats are saying that residents have been paying too much for too long for the current leadership in the state capital and they say it needs to stop.
The "Not-So-Strong Ohio" tour by Ohio Democrats made a stop in downtown Lima Tuesday morning. The candidates for secretary of state and state auditor were on hand. They say the corruption and special interests are costing the residents of Ohio. Governor DeWine's weakness is hurting working families and he is failing to provide the leadership expected from a governor. They say the Democratic ticket on the ballot this fall is the change that Ohio needs.
"It's all about working-class families. A lot of us are from rural places and what we do believe is that we represent the real values of Ohioans and the grit and perseverance that we have and we need a government that represents that as well," said Chelsea Clark, Democratic candidate for Ohio Secretary of State.
"It's time for new leadership, new folks. Folks who have actual experience busting up corruption, not encouraging it. It's time for a better tomorrow for Ohio. Ohio deserves, Ohioans deserve a future they can believe in and that's what we're fighting for," commented Taylor Sappington, Democratic candidate for Ohio Auditor.
The "Not-So-Strong Ohio" tour is traveling around the state promoting the Democratic ticket. The general election is Tuesday, November 8th.
