LIMA, OH (WLIO) - If you were on the road Sunday afternoon, you might have seen a group of bikers riding for a good cause.

Over 100 bikes turn out for 39th annual ABATE Toy Run

Donations from riders and proceeds from raffles and auctions before the bikes left will be used for ABATE's annual Christmas toy giveaway for families struggling to afford presents.

Over 100 motorcycles and around 200 people rode 50 miles for the 39th annual ABATE Toy Run.

Donations from riders and proceeds from raffles and auctions before the bikes left will be used for ABATE's annual Christmas toy giveaway for families struggling to afford presents. In a few weeks, volunteers will go shopping and personally pick out toys for each child based on their interests. The organization is grateful for everyone who participates, especially those who come out every year.

Last year, ABATE was able to provide Christmas presents for 80 families in Allen County alone.

"These guys are in it for the help. They spend a lot of money on just charities. Not only this one, just all of them. Their weekend rides are usually a charity ride. They know what it means to be down, down on their luck, most of them. And they want to help out, and it's for the kids, so you know they're going to help the kids. They gotta help the kids," said Dana Frost, the director of ABATE of Ohio Region 3.
