Plane crashed in rural Hancock Co. Sunday morning

A plane crash injured one in Hancock County Sunday morning. The crash happened in TR 234 and SR 37 in Marion Township. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene where they found 70-year-old James Priebe who was treated on scene with minor injuries. According to Priebe, he was attempting to take off in his 2011 single-engine plane, but before liftoff, the nose of the plane struck the ground causing the airplane to flip over, coming to a rest on its top. The Federal Aviation Administration will be investigating the case. The Vanlue volunteer fire department and HANCO EMS assisted on the scene.
