LIMA, OH (WLIO) - The Regional Transit Authority is looking at some future projects and changes for the new year.
The Allen County RTA is planning the details of a remodeling project of their garage facilities. They will be joining their current garage area with the adjacent Central Street lot to add more space to park and work on vehicles and a bus wash. A new Lima loop will also begin next year when the downtown amphitheater opens for events so that transport to and from the venue is easier and people don't have to walk.
"While there's events going on downtown, we will offer a 15-minute route, so that people that are waiting to do that and to go to the events don't have to wait long," said Karen Garland, co-executive director of Allen County RTA.
A board member also shared that RTA ridership numbers have increased from this time last year.
