VAN WERT COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - A Van Wert man facing murder charges requests more time for his lawyer to prepare his case for trial
48-year-old Larry Andrus signed a time waiver to push back his trial, no trial date has been set. He is facing a total of five charges including murder, strangulation, and felonious assault.
On September 30, 2023, Van Wert police officers were called to Ohio Health to investigate the suspicious death of 59-year-old Roy Watts. An autopsy ruled Watts' death a homicide. Andrus allegedly went on the run and was captured at a Florida bus station on November 8th by the U.S. Marshals Service. His next pretrial is set for January.
