LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — The University of Northwestern Ohio women’s basketball team put together a dominant performance on its home floor, rolling past Defiance College, 95–47.

UNOH took control early and never looked back, building a commanding 36–15 lead by the second quarter. Olivia Thompson helped fuel the Racers’ offense, first setting up Jordan Mueller for a basket before taking matters into her own hands with a smooth drive to the rim. Thompson finished the game with 19 points.

The Racers continued to pile on throughout the quarter, as Morgyn Rose capitalized off a long pass to score two of her seven points on the day. Moments later, Rose returned the favor, delivering a long outlet pass that led to an easy bucket for Lee Lawson.

Lawson was the star of the night for UNOH, doing damage from all areas of the floor. The senior knocked down a three-pointer off the inbounds pass and went on to score a game-high 31 points as the Racers extended their lead.

UNOH’s balanced scoring and relentless pace proved too much for Defiance, as the Racers cruised to the 48-point victory.
