One person is now in custody in connection to a shooting that took place in Van Wert County earlier this month.
The Van Wert County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of Brandon Fair, age 36, of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fair was arrested on February 9th by the Allen County Indiana Sheriff's Department.
Fair has been indicted and is currently being held on charges of 1st Degree Attempted Murder, 1st Degree Kidnapping, 1st Degree Aggravated Robbery, and two counts of 2nd-degree Felonious Assault.
A second suspect is still being sought after in the case.
Deputies state that two subjects entered the outbuilding on 2947 Elm Sugar Road where someone was living, where they assaulted and shot the resident. The 29-year-old victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
The reason for the attack is currently unknown.
