VAN WERT COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - State fire marshal's investigators have an update on a house explosion in Van Wert County last week.
Officials tell us the explosion originated in the attached garage at the home on Wolfcale Road, southwest of Convoy, around 5 a.m. on December 4th. They have not determined an exact cause, but they are not ruling out a propane gas leak as a possibility.
The explosion blew the west and north walls of the garage about 100 feet. The explosion started a fire in the rest of the house. One person was taken to the hospital, and another resident and two dogs were not harmed. The investigation is ongoing.
