A Lima man charged with stabbing his mother will continue to be evaluated to see if he can stand trial for the crime.
After a new mental evaluation, 25-year-old Kevin Stahr was again found to be not competent to stand trial. Stahr was indicted on one count of attempted murder and two counts of felonious assault.
On June 4th of 2021, Stahr took a knife and stabbed his mother multiple times. Someone was able to distract Stahr long enough for her to get away and call the police. Stahr will be re-evaluated in a year to see if his mental status changes.
