SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WLIO) – A Piqua woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning in Shelby County.
Vivian Walker, 23, died from injuries sustained in the crash, which occurred just before 4:30 a.m. on State Route 66, south of Rangeline Road.
According to troopers from the Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Walker was traveling north on Route 66 when her vehicle veered off the left side of the road, struck a tree and a ditch, and overturned.
The crash remains under investigation.

Piqua – The Piqua Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on March 11, 2025, at 4:21 a.m., on State Route 66 south of Rangeline Road, Cynthian Township, Shelby County.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2024 Chevrolet Malibu, operated by Vivian K. Walker, 23, Piqua, was traveling north on State Route 66 when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree and a ditch. The vehicle overturned and came to rest.
Walker succumbed to fatal injuries as a result of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation at this time by the Piqua Post.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Loramie Community Fire, Fort Loramie Rescue, the Ohio Department of Transportation, and Meyer’s Towing Service.
