Two Lima men have been arrested after allegedly robbing an Auglaize County woman who was attempting to sell items on an online site.
18-year-old Kirk Brenneman and 20-year-old Jason Sledge were charged with suspicion of aggravated robbery. The incident happened around 8 p.m. on Thursday night at an East Fourth Street apartment complex. The woman showed up to sell a video gaming system and cell phone she had posted on the popular internet site 'LetGo'. She was given directions to the apartments where the two suspects got in her car, pulled out a gun, and robbed her of the items. Police say the victim fled unharmed.
Hours later, just before 2 a.m. Friday morning, officers found the suspects at the apartments. The gaming system was recovered and the gun used in the crime was found as well.

On 9/26/2019, at about 8 p.m., a 25 year old Auglaize County woman was robbed at gunpoint, at the apartments located at 760 E. 4th Street, in Lima. The woman went to the apartments in response to an advertisement posted on the popular internet site “LetGo”. The transaction involved the sale of a video gaming system and a cellular phone. The victim was given directions to the apartment complex, by a subject posing as an interested customer. When she arrived at the complex to sell the items, two male suspects got into her vehicle and used a gun to rob her of the gaming system and the cellular phone. The suspects fled from the vehicle and went back into the apartment building. The woman fled unharmed, and contacted the police. Second and third shift patrol officers, along with Lima Police Detectives began investigating the incident. Just before 2:00 a.m., officers located and arrested the two suspects, inside one of the apartment buildings. The suspects arrested were 18 year old Kirk Brenneman and 20 year old Jason Sledge, both of Lima. The gaming system was recovered and the firearm was also located during the investigation. Both Brenneman and Sledge were charged with suspicion of aggravated robbery and held at the Allen County Jail.
