September 12, 2024, Press Release from the Delphos Police Department: On 9-1-2024 a male in the 500 block of W. 1st St, called to report an on-going problem with a neighbor’s dog continually barking.
On 9-1-2024 officers were asked to assist Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office in located a truck hauling scrap. The vehicle was leaving debris all over the roadway. Officers located the vehicle and made a traffic stop. Van Wert Sheriff’s Deputies responded and took over.
On 9-2-2024 officers spoke with a male in the 600 block of W. 1st St, who wished to file a report. The male told officers that his ex-wife was continuing to send him unwanted text messages and phone calls.
On 9-3-2024 officers responded to a one vehicle crash in the 100 block of W. Clime St. The driver of the vehicle drifted slightly off of the roadway and struck a street sign causing minor damage.
On 9-3-2024 officers investigated a two-vehicle crash in the 500 block of S. Washington St. One vehicle was backing out of a driveway and did not see the oncoming vehicle due to a blind spot. Both vehicles sustained minor damage.
On 9-3-2024 officers spoke with a male in the 400 block of W. 6th St, who is receiving harassing phone calls by an unknown person.
On 9-4-2024 officers were sent to the 1100 block of Elida Ave. for a private property crash involving two vehicles. The drivers of both vehicles exchanged information.
On 9-4-2024 officers were sent to the 800 block of Spencerville Rd, for an Ungovernable Juvenile complaint. Officers spoke with the juveniles’ mother who stated that her daughter left the residence without permission after the two got into an argument.
On 9-5-2024 a male called the police department to report that he had witnessed an altercation the previous night at Garfield Park.
On 9-5-2024 officers spoke with a female who reported that she received threatening text messages from a male.
On 9-5-2024 officers were sent to the 500 block of Fort Jennings Rd, after a female called stating that her son, who has a mental disorder, was threatening her.
On 9-5-2024 a female contacted the police department to report that she came home and found her doors unlocked. Nothing appeared to be missing but the female stated the deadbolt no longer works.
On 9-5-2024 officers were sent to a Domestic Disturbance in the 500 block of W. 6th St. Officers arrived and found two men in a verbal altercation. Each one stated that nothing physical occurred, only threats were made.
On 9-5-2024 officers responded to the 1100 block of N. Main St, after receiving a complaint of a Domestic Disturbance. It was found that no physical violence occurred, and one person left the residence to calm down.
On 9-5-2024 officers were dispatched to the 600 block of N. Washington St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers investigated the incident and found probable cause to arrest a male, 38-year-old Kyle Suever of Delphos, for Domestic Violence.
On 9-6-2024 officers responded to the 400 block of E. 8th St, for a Domestic Disturbance. After investigating the incident officers found probable cause to arrest a female, 35-year-old Ashley Stemen of Delphos, for Domestic Violence.
On 9-6-2024 a male called the police department to report an incident. The male said that he did work for a resident but did not get paid. The male also left items at the residence which he wished to have returned.
On 9-6-2024 officers were sent to the 800 block of Skinner St, for a Theft incident and a disturbance. Officers found that a male had an item that was given to him by someone other than the owner. A disturbance ensued and the item was returned.
On 9-6-2024 officers were sent to investigate a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of W. 3rd St, and N. Clay St. One driver was issued a citation for Failure to Yield.
On 9-6-2024 officers were sent to the 300 block of S. Cass St, for a Domestic Disturbance. Officers arrived and found that no physical violence had occurred. The female left the residence.
On 9-6-2024 officers met with a female in the 300 block of S. Pierce St, who reported that her 14-year-old daughter was causing a disturbance.
On 9-7-2024 a female called the police department to report that 450.00 had been charged on her PayPal account. The female had let a male borrow her phone and believes he made the charge without permission.
On 9-7-2024 officers were sent to the 500 block of N. Main St, for two males involved in a physical altercation. Officers arrived and spoke with the males involved. Both were uncooperative and did not wish to file a report.
