Friday August 23, 2024
0305 hrs. – Deputies along with Middle Point Fire and EMS, Van Wert Fire and EMS, Parkview Samaritan, Van Wert Police and Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash on U.S. Route 30 at Mendon Road. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
0822 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Skinner Street in the Village of Ohio City on a complaint of trespassing.
1112 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Garfield Street in the Village of Scott on a complaint of a loose dog.
1115 hrs. – Deputies assisted with a Funeral Escort from the City of Van Wert to Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery in Liberty Township.
1208 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Dixon Cavett Road in Tully Township on a complaint of a subject mowing and blowing the grass into the roadway.
1228 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Lincoln Highway in Pleasant Township for a report of a suspicious person.
1345 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Tully Township on a complaint of reckless driving.
1421 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Main Street in the City of Van Wert to assist the Van Wert Police.
1519 hrs. – Deputies spoke with subjects reference a motor vehicle crash on private property that occurred on Franklin Street in the City of Van Wert.
1546 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Middle Point Road in Ridge Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1641 hrs. – Dispatched Wren EMS to a residence on Main Street in Glenmore for a report of a subject down in the yard with an unknown problem. 1656 hrs. – Deputies spoke with a resident from Haven Street in the Village of Scott on a complaint of a loose dog.
1743 hrs. – Deputies served a warrant issued by Van Wert County Common Pleas Court for Fifth-Degree Felony charge of Possession of a Fentanyl Related Compound. Nathan Daniel Youngpeter age 34 of Delphos is being held at the Van Wert County Correctional Facility.
1823 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Liberty Union Road in Union Township to standby as a peace officer.
2159 hrs. – Dispatched Middle Point and Delphos Fire to a residence on Main Street in the Village of Middle Point for a kitchen fire.

0729 hrs. – Dispatched Grover Hill EMS to a residence on Defiance Trail Road in Hoaglin Township for a subject with a laceration.
0817 hrs. – Deputies along with Convoy and Van Wert EMS to a residence on Convoy Road in Union Township for a report of a subject not breathing.
0838 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Richey Road in Pleasant Township to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1056 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Cherry Street in the Village of Convoy to assist a motorist locked out of their vehicle.
1115 hrs. – Deputies assisted with a Funeral Escort from the City of Van Wert to Ohio City Woodlawn Cemetery in Liberty Township.
1314 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of State Route 116 in Ridge Township to check an open line 911 call.
1530 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Ridge Township to check the report of an occupied disabled vehicle.
1728 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of Lincoln Highway in Ridge Township for a report of a loose dog.
1754 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Liberty Union Road in Union Township for a report of a domestic dispute.
1936 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of McCleery Road in Ridge Township for a report of a female walking and may be in mental distress.
2010 hrs. – Deputies responded to the Ohio Health for a report of a subject being bitten by a dog on Converse Roselm Road.
2033 hrs. – Dispatched Van Wert EMS to a location on Washington Street in the City of Van Wert for a subject with chest pain.
2039 hrs. – Deputies responded to a location on Pearson Road in Union Township to investigate a report of breaking and entering, and theft from a storage unit.
2157 hrs. – Deputies responded to a commercial alarm at a location on Adams Street in the Village of Middle Point.
2243 hrs. – Deputies responded to a residence on Tully Street in the Village of Convoy for a complaint of criminal damaging. 2329 hrs. – Deputies responded to an area of U.S. Route 30 in Tully Township for a report of reckless driving.
2331 hrs. – Deputies along with Van Wert EMS responded to an area of U.S. Route 224 in Pleasant Township for a report of a motor vehicle crash. The incident was investigated by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
