For Harley Pajari, she wanted to find a career where she could support her young son, and found herself earning her Licensed Practical Nursing, or LPN degree. She's now moving through the ranks to continue her education.

"With the LPN program, it was only a year to get into that and I fell in love with it," said Pajari. "I decided to take up and carry on to RN, and now I’m working on my Bachelor's. I'll be done with that at the end of the year, then I’m going on for my Master's in education because I really love the students and I’m really passionate about nursing."
It's the environment of the workplace that has really welcomed Harley into the world of nursing, and she recommends that people thinking about the nursing career should give it a try.
Mercy Health has programs and plans in place to assist their staff in advancing their careers. They offer reimbursement plans for nurses with Associate degrees to help them work on their Bachelor's, as well as moving onto a Master's degree if they'd like, just like Harley plans to. They also have the opportunity to work alongside nurses that have years of experience to help them hone their skills.

"It's very flexible, I love the people that I work with, I have wonderful bosses," said Pajari. "There’s a lot of job stability - you’ll always have a job, no matter where you go, and the possibilities are endless. You can work up the ladder or you can stay where you’re at, it’s very rewarding. You’re always learning something new, so you're fast paced and you like to learn a lot, then it’s pretty ideal."
