LIMA, OH (WLIO) - It's a way to strengthen your neighborhood with grant dollars from the City of Lima.
There are few days left for neighborhood associations and 501(c)(3) organizations to submit applications for the Impact Grant Program through the City of Lima Department of Housing and Neighborhoods. Up to ten $500,000 grants are available and Activate Allen County is awarding additional grant dollars to a few of the approved projects.
"Anything that will improve the quality in your neighborhood. Whether it's redoing or fixing a park, whether it's helping out maybe an elderly or somebody who needs a little bit more assistance in your neighborhood. Really anything that's just going to improve the quality of your neighbors and your neighborhood appeal in general," explained Sydni Winkler, Lima Neighborhood Specialist.
Applications are available on the City of Lima's website and are due by 5 p.m. this Friday, August 5th. The grants are available for Lima Neighborhood Associations and non-profits with projects aimed to make an impact through service.
